He later went on to establish the Haas F1 Team, leading the only American outfit on the grid from its debut in 2016 through to 2023. Steiner also became a breakout star of the hit Netflix series Drive to Survive, earning a global fanbase with his candid insights and no-nonsense leadership style.

This unique partnership between Arabian Adventures and Veuve Clicquot is offering a private new location for premium dining in a secluded and breath-taking location in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR), one of the UAE’s largest nature reserves. Embodying the iconic Veuve Clicquot identity, this experience adds a vibrant touch of yellow to the terracotta dunes, bringing the quality and uniqueness of what Madame Clicquot, known as ‘La Grande Dame of Champagne,’ is celebrated for, from France to the heart of the Dubai desert.

A Brazilian national, Tatiana Issa has been appointed to drive outreach across Latin America for the Dubai-based company. With first-hand knowledge of the UAE, Tatiana’s 15 years of experience in travel and tourism includes with the Jumeirah Group based in Dubai, and as a representative for Visit Dubai in Brazil. Dubai, UAE, 1st March 2024: Dubai-based Arabian Adventures Meetings, Incentives & Events (AAMIE), has won the prestigious SITE Crystal Award for Excellence in Incentive Travel, Africa and the Middle East for the fourth time. 

The specialist events division of Arabian Adventures, the UAE’s leading destination management company (DMC), part of the Emirates Group, has been recognised for designing and delivering an exceptional, multi-city event in the UAE for top-performing employees of a France-based renewable energy company, in association with LDR, Groupe WMH PROJECT.  Presented by The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE), the SITE Crystal award is considered the highest honour in the incentive travel industry. 

The event marked the first Middle East-based edition of the French company’s long-standing employee reward programme, renowned for its adventurous destinations that ‘challenge expectations’. Its previous events took place in Panama, Cambodia, South Africa, and others. For Arabian Adventures’ UAE-based adventure, 78 guests from 20 countries travelled to the emirates. 

In designing the event, Arabian Adventures focused on a sense of contrast between different worlds, times, and paces between the emirates of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah. 

Highlights of the award-winning event itinerary included: 

Day 1: Dubai 
After Dubai Airport fast-track, a VIP chauffeur drive took guests deep into the city’s Old Town to stay at a hotel built to blend into the setting. Dubai Creek’s ancient souks, local people, and traditional Emirati food were in focus for day one. Guests then plunged back into the modern world for a sea-to-land view of the famous Dubai skyline, with an Arabian Gulf sunset overlooking the iconic Burj Al Arab. 

Day 2: Abu Dhabi 
A contrast between different worlds continued as guests travelled to the neighbouring emirate of Abu Dhabi. Here, they explored masterpieces of European and Middle Eastern art in the city’s unique collaboration with the Paris Louvre, toured the magnificent Grand Mosque, and explored the winding channels and unspoilt nature of the Eastern Mangroves. 

Days 3-6: Ras Al Khaimah 
The third stage took guests to Ras Al Khaimah’s ancient trading centre, where few large groups had previously visited. From here they trekked with a Bedouin tribe, learned desert survival skills, met pearl fishermen, and visited the ruins of an abandoned fort – transformed to a private dining venue at night. The finale of their journey saw guests travel to highest point in the country – the summit of Jebel Jais.

The new experiences have been designed to offer high quality educational tours and trips for local groups, based on the wildlife living in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR), one of the UAE’s largest protected nature reserves, and its key conservation principles.

The two products now available, including a ‘Dubai Wildlife Safari’ and ‘Dubai Wildlife Safari Overnight Camp’, are linked to the curriculum for schools and other educational entities, covering the topics of Heritage, uncovering the history of the desert and Bedouin life, Wildlife, with access to the DDCR where 142 bird, 26 reptile, and 300 arthropod species have been identified, and Conservation, covering the protection of the Dubai desert.

Dubai Wildlife Safari

The new ‘Dubai Wildlife Safari’ for educational groups consists of a driven tour inside the DDCR, a visit to the Arabian Adventures Camel Farm, and a natural lake, with stops for spotting wildlife and vegetation. Groups will also be taken on a guided tour of the newly launched DDCR Visitor Centre, with interactive activities including games, arts, and crafts. The trip is fully guided by Safari Experts, whilst additional provisions include a wildlife and conservation workbook, and drinks and snacks for all attendees.

Dubai Wildlife Safari Overnight Camp

The ‘Dubai Wildlife Safari Overnight Camp’ begins in the late afternoon at Arabian Adventures’ private camp in the DDCR. Guests have the chance to contribute to the tent set up, with an overview of desert survival skills, followed by bonfire lighting and a BBQ buffet dinner. A guided nature walk under the stars with night vision goggles will also provide the chance to spot unique nocturnal wildlife. Breakfast is included the next morning, followed by a tour of the DDCR, access to Arabian Adventures’ Camel Farm and camel trekking, and sand boarding.
